What's the difference between a small-group safari, a private safari and a custom safari?
Our small-group safaris follow planned itineraries on scheduled departure dates with other travelers. A custom safari gives you the flexibility to travel with your own group and tailor the experience to your interests. You can replicate an existing itinerary or adjust the trip length, accommodations, dates, destinations, and activities to create a safari that’s right for you.
Can I choose my travel dates?
Yes! If our scheduled departures don't fit your calendar, we can help plan a custom safari around your preferred dates. Whether you're celebrating a milestone birthday, anniversary or another special occasion, we'll work with you to find the right time to travel.
Can I choose where we go on our safari?

Who can I travel with on a custom safari?

Will we still see other travelers on a custom safari?
Yes. You'll have your own Tanzanian safari guide and vehicle, but you'll still encounter other travelers in the national parks and at camps or lodges. Many guests enjoy swapping stories around the campfire after a day of wildlife viewing! If you'd prefer more privacy, ask us about private camps or exclusive-use accommodations.
