What do you do?
As a Trip Manager, I help our guests prepare for their journey every step of the way. Planning a trip can be overwhelming—whether it’s a Serengeti safari, a Kilimanjaro trek, or a beach getaway in Zanzibar. My role is to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible so our guests can focus on enjoying their adventure to the fullest.

What is your favorite part of your job?
I love watching our guests’ excitement grow as their trips approach; the energy is infectious and reminds me why I work in the travel industry. There’s nothing quite like seeing all the pieces of a trip come together to create an unforgettable adventure. It’s also incredibly rewarding to help guests navigate concerns or resolve issues, seeing their worries melt away so they can fully enjoy all the amazing experiences Tanzania has to offer.

Besides safari, what has been your favorite past travel experience?
During my decade living in Tokyo, I had amazing travel experiences throughout Japan, including visiting shrines and temples in Kyoto, hiking Mount Fuji, attending several of Japan’s biggest music festivals, and seeing wild monkeys in Japan’s hot spring capital, Oita.

What’s next on your travel bucket list?
When returning from travel in Ireland, I spent a night in Reykjavik en route to Boston. I would love to return to Iceland for a full trip and explore the natural hot springs and see the Northern Lights someday!

What is your favorite safari animal?
Elephants have been my favorite animal since I first saw them in books and wildlife documentaries as a child. Their beauty and character are endlessly fascinating, and seeing them in their natural habitat is an absolute dream come true.

My insider travel tip is: Don’t wait until the last minute to prepare!
